Herein we describe a novel intraocular lens (IOL) scleral fixation technique which utilizes a 25-gauge needle preloaded with a 6-0 prolene loop in an ab-externo approach. This minimally invasive technique can be employed for IOL rescue, offers a new paradigm for secondary implantation of single-piece IOLs, and offers a less technically challenging alternative to other surgical options.
