To our knowledge, we present the first-time ever described “snow globe cataract.” Likely the product of a diabetic phacolytic cataract, the degradation products yielded a stunning intracapsular cataract resembling a snow globe. What makes this case unique is not just the presentation, but the combination of new and old techniques needed to safely remove the lens.
