IOL choice may consider chronological age, but no cutoff exists. This film presents the retinal age gap—the difference between AI-estimated retinal age and chronological age—from fundus photos. In cataract surgery patients, a smaller gap predicted greater satisfaction, fewer dysphotopsias, and less spectacle use, independent of visual acuity, enabling personalized IOL selection and counseling.
